Well that's no good for keeping my salad fresh!

Laughing out loud

Talking of which, my local Morrisons had shelves and shelves of salad on display today, more than in Summer. Has it become a Christmas dinner delicacy/staple now?

Maybe people want salad on Christmas Eve to make up for the epic gluttony of the next day.

Hoping you're all keeping safe from the weather. Not too bad here so far except bloody rain and gales day after day, which is depressing.

Ah, just realised the gales have stopped. For now at least.

Not sure about the woman in Wales but, generally, why would anyone go within 200 yards of a river/seafront etc in this weather?

Thats part the reason for quitting the day job,.../

Good luck on giving up the day job.

So now my desk is clear, my reference I think sorted and most importantly my redundancy paid.

It's time too announce that I've taken redundancy, packed in the day job and taken up a fulltime career as a freelance writer.
I'm not sure if this is a midlife crisis, or the best thing I ever did only time will tell.

I will be offering a superior script reading service to Stott or Swertyds. As it's twice as good, I will taken any price they offer you and double it.

Wishing you all the best soots. Big step but its what you want to do. Be successful but, more importantly, be happy.

Well done sootyj exciting times ahead!

Maybe to make all the Aussie ex pats feel at home. It's fairly common these days for Christmas lunch to be cold meat and salads.

Meanwhile- I'm feeling a little strange tonight. First Christmas Eve ever that I've been by myself. Seeing family tomorrow but still feeling a bit odd.

Well its Christmas day here. So youre spending xmads with friends
