I keep thinking I'm popular. :$

Yeah. It has a HD in it, either 40GB, 80GB or 160GB (I think) But the silly thing is, on the two bigger HDs, half of the space is taken up by Anytime TV (which is a selection of the "best shows of the week") Although, their choices are sometimes questionable. And you can't choose to use that reserved space for your own recordings either :S

Sky+ IMO seems to be the best and simplest PVR out there, I highly recommend it to any telly fan.

Ha! I've actually never noticed Anytime TV before. There's nothing in it though (presumably as I've not had the box connected up in almost a month), and I have an option in the Services menu to turn it off...?

Regarding other PVRs, I also have a Freeview Top Up TV box. Just as easy as Sky+.

BTW Leevil, I've just checked, and it is indeed the case that Sky boxes don't work with no signal. I assume that it's set up as a security measure, but even Sky themselves have no way around it, and have to set up a satellite dish whenever and wherever they may be doing a presentation of any kind.

Yeah, it takes a few days to fill up. They download or is it record a new show each night.

Even if you turn it off, it still reserves half the HD space.

Roo is wondering if it's too early for a shower. She feels so hot and sticky. Yuck yuck.

It must have deleted old stuff as being out of date then I guess. (This isn't a new Sky box - I moved and have only just connected it back up.)

Works on the same principle as my Top Up TV Anytime box by the sounds of it - except that doesn't reserve space.

I think the selected shows only stay there for a week, until they "expire". But if you do decide to save one, just select it and press the record button and it adds it to your personal planner.

Ah I see. I'll try to remember to keep a look out for that one then.

I'm off for a *inhales* *holds it* *exhales* :)

Robyn has just returned from seeing an awwwweeesome radio recording.

Enjoying a nice Guinness and The Ramones on my deck in the back yard. It's starting to get too hot to enjoy the outdoors, so I'm trying to do it as much as possible.

My vegetable garden is coming along nicely, but I seem to be lacking in tomato-growing ability. They're struggling, but all the peppers (red, green, yellow, jalapeno and Anaheim) are doing wonderfully. The strawberries also seem to be thriving and the last few days have brought forth multiple sprouting cucumbers, peas, lettuce, spinach and cantaloupe plants.

Elliot has just watched an epic video, had an amazing kiss last night, received the best compliment of his life today aaaaaaand has Doctor Who shoes.

This world is good. Pleased
