"An Egyptian one-eyed sandwich"Take a slice of bread, cut a hole in centre about 4 cms big
Fry it briefly, then break an egg into the hole
Fry a short while longer, then flip it over & fry a while more.Serve and enjoy.
Wooaw
I am so gonna give that a go
Awesome !!
That was invented by the British Troops in the Canal Zone many years ago.

I really should like this but I really don't. I don't like the way they make the bread soggy. Plus, when I do eat a fish finger (or another breadcrumbed equivalent) I like to bite off the breadcrumb crust or just dip the whole thing in red sauce and that is a pleasure on it's own. The bread just gets in the way.

The sandwich has to have lots of ketchup in.

Of course! Still, I can't ignore the dampened bread. It doesn't bother me in any other cooked sandwich, it is specifically fishfingers.
Hmmm, I don't remember soggy bread! Are you washing the fishfingers in the sink...

It's just where the fishfinger has slightly melted the butter and maybe the heat has steamed it a bit too. I dunno, I just don't like it.
Maybe you could use toast instead of bread.
We must get to the bottom of this. FISHFINGER SANDWICHES IS IMPORTANT BIZNESS.

Yep
But have you tried using salad cream instead?
Nom nom nommmmmm
Sounds quite strange, but I will try anything once!

I think toast might work! It doesn't happen in a burger bun but butter is not normally involved in a burger.

*Snigger*
>_<
I've always been suspicious of the contents of a fish finger. Don't
suppose it's horse but ... what?
