Yeah, I just didn't fancy going.

I still puked at 4:30 in the morning, so I don't feel I missed out much.

I am feeling distinctly peaky. This does mean I have been able to abdicate from any parental responsibility since half ten this morning and watch Justified and football instead.

Chip's got a rare part albino blackbird that visits his garden regularly. Hopefully a cat won't get him.

There's a reason they are rare...

My cat caught a magpie once. I was kind of proud of him.
But usually cats only seem to catch the little birds, like sparrows. Or maybe the cats I know now are wusses.

One time a cat in my garden was attacking a bird's nest and managed to knock one of the chicks onto the floor. Without thinking I picked the chick up and put it back in the nest. Obviously my human smell scared away the mother and about 5 chicks ended up dying.

I felt so guilty.

Oh bugger. Well, at least you tried to help, mother birds shouldn't be so easily scared off!

I could've done this though...
