You do have a kind postman.

Yes, he sounds first-class. Ha. Ha.

*laughs maniacally as tumbleweed gathers around him*

You'll get the sack for that!

Let's stamp these jokes out before they get out of hand.

The secret is in the delivery.

VHS?!

Yup.

Quote: Aaron @ March 5 2009, 12:45 PM GMT

Yup.

:S

What did you get on VHS?

Are you under the belief that everything is available on DVD?

I would imagine more TV shows are. and TV shows on VHS are terrible, all the fast forwarding and rewinding. Ridiculous.

No.

Are you going to transfer them to disc/k?

Recent TV shows, certainly. Older ones, even I've been surprised by the amount which was available on VHS but hasn't yet made it to DVD.

Are you going to transfer them to disc/k?

Indeed I will. Even if I wanted one, I don't have the space to have a VCR set up permanently.

I'm still waiting for the complete 'Crackerjack'. And 'Bottle Boys'. And ...(fill in name of unlikely to be released on DVD type programme)...

That's OK then Pleased

The videos I bought were The Cool Mikado, a film starring Frankie Howerd and Tommy Cooper, and Titter Ye Not!, Frankie Howerd's last live show - and only one to have been recorded, as I understand it.

The latter also includes a documentary/discussion about working with him by some of his writers: Barry Took, Peter Cook, Barry Cryer, Alan Simpson, Johnny Speight, and Ian Hislop. :)

Actually, I'm not that big-a-fan of DVDs either. When they first came out, I was impressed and they're still better than a cassette but compare a disc to HDD and it makes DVD look err rubbish?

I haven't bought a DVD in ages! Last one might have been last summer and it was an impulse buy 'The Breakfast Club' for a few quid.
