You need Vit D to absord calcium and if you can't absorb enough calcium you may get pins and needles, muscles twitching and cramping, a sort of heavy or numb feeling in limbs. Very much how I imagine a stroke or heart attack to feel like at the start, and very scary if you don't know what it is.
