I've never made a roast dinner. I don't understand why people use it as the benchmark for culinary skill. Any idiot can make one.

Looks like I made the right decisions for once. Back in August I dreaded pay day because I knew what was coming in terms of what money had to be paid out. September was our worst month for money ever but I believe I've made some sound financial moves and have a clear budget plan so we no longer have our heads in the sand. Bring it on!

The thing is we've been dicking around for far too long throwing good money after bad and the way we're living today is based on past mistakes. One loan we're paying off effectively includes money for a car bought in 2010 that was written off in June last year after we had the crash. Meanwhile, the money pit car we're driving around in today is ours outright so as you can see it's been a bit all over the place.
I know you shouldn't compare yourself with other members of the family but it can be hard to take but when your 14 and 11 year old nephew and niece are going to Washington DC at half term and just shrugged at the prospect. That would be a huge deal for us especially as we lived on just £30 for a family of five for five days last week.
We also discovered recently that the wife's mum and step dad, her brother and half sister and their families are all going to Florida together next year. They didn't even ask us because they 'knew' we couldn't afford it and didn't want to 'embarrass' us by asking. Pffft! At least give us a chance to turn you down!

Tearing my hair because I can't get on to Hotmail and I need to download something I promised to edit for somebody. If only I'd downloaded it last night. Hotmail appears to have major problems, even after I buggered my computer about doing a system restore. Snarl, snarl and treble snarl.
