Really? The cut for corned or as we Brits call it salt beef, is pretty expensive.

If cooked right its amazing.

Twas on sale $10 a kilo. Equal to about 6.50 pounds. There not really many types of cheap meat unless you want mince.

Overall I think we have more expensive groceries here. We also have less choice, although that is manily due to a smaller population.

:D Gah, Chekhov's Gun is pointing at my head. My play is so bad I'm considering going for a jog instead of looking at it.

Well I hope it was introduced in the first act then! ;)

It's about 3-4 times the price over here.

Go figure.

Oh yes, I was very professional and have been avoiding going jogging from the start. I suppose I'll have to now, what with the plot demanding it

Other types of beef are more expensive, like the ones you would buy for roasting. I think it all evens out though, most of the conveinence type food you have a far cheaper than our equivilant.

It's just brisket, no? Much better smoked up as BBQ but I don't mind the odd slab of corned beef. I usually just buy it already spiced in a bag of briny goodness.

Surely Corned Beef is completely different from Salt Beef. I love Corned Beef - in fact just had a sandwich of it.

Nope only Brits call corned beef in a tin corned beef.

Basically it's the same meaning, beef preserved with grains (or corns) of salt.

This is what a corned beef sandwich should look like:

This is proof perfect that I don't Google myself anywhere near enough.
