Jealous of Scotland's snow

I've never seen snow. If it ever starts snowing the part of Aus I live, we all need to get very worried.
I flew out of London about 24 hours before the first snow last year, I was so dissapointed. I am hoping to remedy it by going back for Christmas next year. I want to experience a cold Christmas.

Ill. Will never smirk at manflu again.

You didn't go and kiss a man did you, and catch his manflu cooties?

:D

I had mumps a few years ago which was random as I didn't know anyone who was even vaguely ill, let alone kissed them

(resists urge to mischeviously reedit above post)

An emoticon clapping proudly for you

Touche!

Just booked a dirty hot and steamy few days away next April !

:P

In Skeggers?

:O

In . . . wait for it . . . Llangollen no less !

:( Crickey hope it's not the same 'Gropon Deal'?

Chip can see a sexy Shelter chugger out of the window. He might allow himself to be chugged when he goes for lunch.

Interesting 24 hours...

Last night - against what are essentially my principles - I signed up myself and three kids into a 'no win, no fee' accident compensation claim. Effectively we're claiming against my wife! Errr

I fought against doing this because we are all fine now with only Charlie and Hollie showing minor scars. Just doesn't seem right somehow and there is a risk it will drag up some unpleasant memories.

Anyway, under the insurance we are apparently entitled to claim and considering our premiums saw a serious hike at renewal I see it as a way of getting something back. I don't think we'll get all that much but let's just say it looks like it might cover the £3K we have to find for the privilege of attending my sister-in-law's wedding in Cyprus next year.

The more I read that amount the more I'm horrified by it. I'm all for people having the wedding of their dreams but to expect people to find those sums at this point in time seems almost unfair. It's already caused one rift in the family.

And so to today...

On the bus into work I had a call from our letting agent. It seems the house owner is looking to sell and wants to set up a meeting with us. It was a bit cryptic actually and I'm wondering whether they are going to offer some alternative deal. He told me, "It's not a simple case of 'We're selling. Bye!' which is why I need to meet with you to discuss."

All very stressful - I've got my daughter's birthday next week and we're nearly skint. I'll hear in the next couple of days if the bonus will be paid - if it isn't...well, I don't really wanna think about it... :(

That's just insane.
I wouldn't go. If you're getting married abroad, either pay yourself for people to come or accept it gracefully if they can't manage it.
