No I don't think so. It didn't feel like a win for me. Didn't manage to squeeze out much sound from them. They were a decent audience as well, evidenced by the performance of the other acts. I just didn't bring my a game.

I always start my gigs with the following gag

"I'm a standup and a stripper. Please laugh or you;ll be sorry and I'll be embarassed."

3 minutes of deadening silence, someone pipes up

"So are you going to take your clothes off?"

We all suck from time to time.

Thanks peeps. I just need to stick with it and keep working.

Yeh standup is so damn random.

I've had sighs and tuts for a Steve Jobs gag.

After the previous guys had made jokes about their desire to have amerous relationships with a dead child.

Which got warm laughter and applause.

Like I say totally f**king random.

That's the way.
You've had a miserable one, and chances are the next will be another ecstatic one.
There isn't always a lot inbetween

Hey Steve how do you talk beautiful women into your bed?

That's the way.

You silver tongued swine"!

No confidence boost for me tonight. Feeling pretty down about the whole thing :(

:( Do you have more gigs lined up?

Just got back from vets, poor cat needed injections. But saw leaflet about www.therecyclingfactory.com where you can recycle old phones and other electronics and they give a donation to RSPCA.
Which is nice.

Does it work the other way round?

Today I've had Facebook messages from Graham Massey of 808 State, Brian Nash of Frankie goes to Hollywood and DJ and remixer Freddie Bastone. Hmm, I must be in line for a place on the next series of I'm a celebrity...
