Oh no, why?

No reason enough to justify my funk :(

Buy yourself some presents online.
Getting packages from the postman always cheers me up!

Skint! Boo!

4 Lions is on channel 4 at 9pm, that should raise a chuckle or at least a smile.

Watched it recently. 10 point for good suggestion though!

I usually write jokes.

Been tidying up that cheered me up. But making a mess in the first place can be a nuisance.

I'm still having an existential comedy cricis and writers block. That's probably a big part of the funk.

I do have a half a day of tidying tomorrow, so that might up my endorphins a bit.

What's wrong with the toilet?

Sorry 404 but I'm just marking my territory...in this case my territory being your pillow.

See I'm suddenly filled with joy particles.

Pour a large drink of something lovely, put some happy music on, and sing it out

This was directed at Nat, not at the loo conversation

Writers block should not be underestimated as a form of depression and/or anxiety.

Pushing through it can really help.

I'd say go for Newsjack with oneliners, gives you a goal and what you don't use you can always use in standup or send to News revue.

Nat - concentrate really hard on Spider Solitaire. Although it's a timewaster, it's also an escape route. So is reading a really thick book.

Oh forgot to mention I've had a few interesting things happen last few weeks.

One was I saw an educational psychologist last week (arranged by my university course paid for by work)

Turns out I'm dyspraxic not dyslexic.

Means I get funky purple glasses paid for by the government.

I just wrote a minute or so of new standup material :D That's helped.

Thanks for tips guys :)

And the university course? I'm doing an access course in screen writing at Birckbeck before hopefully moving onto the masters next year.

Interesting. I know somebody who's just been diagnosed as dyspraxic. What's this about funny glasses? He works in an open plan office which he finds difficult.

Look forward to hearing it.

Comedy writing is so cathartic. It's that and my neurofen that keep the voices at bay.

(dated topical gag that)

Coloured lenses make it easier to focus on text.

I guess dyspraxic is about coordination and focus and open plan offices can be quite distracting.

I'm thinking more and more that I might be a bit dyslexic.

Could be the case?

Would your work help with a diagnosis?

I'm never aware of problems with your spelling/grammar.

Grammar I'm great at. Spelling not so much. I rewrite sentences a lot. Usually it's because I've written a word and it just doesn't look right. Dan vets a lot of my spelling for me.

They would I'm sure.

Nothing wrong with what you've just written.
