Well this is the colour we picked I believe. Lime Sorbet. Although it looked luminous going on. But okay once I finished it.

Ah, it's very annoying when paint looks a scary colour when wet, but normal when dry.
It really is! Although slightly sad it didn't glow in the dark.
Aw. Get some dinosaur stickers or something.
I mean. I expect they glow in the dark. I don't have any or anything...

Or so you would have us believe!
You have no proof!

Quote: Leevil @ July 25 2011, 2:50 AM BSTBeen painting the kitchen all day. Actually finished about 1am! But spent a while tidying up and putting stuff back. F**king f**ked and I have more to do tomorrow + the mother (not) in law is coming over for a few days. Argh!
Painting the kitchen is the EASY part...
I've been drilling 5" holes for a cooker hood, bricking in the old Ventaxia fan hole, ripping out the old badly installed cooker circuit, cutting trunking channels and socket holes for the new cooker circuit and for the electricity for the cooker hood and yesterday & today doing plastering of the holes in the plaster created by the above activities. I've never done any plastering before & that is possibly the most tricky of the tasks.
Tomorrow I get to put the finishing coat of plaster on and maybe finally get to the easier bit on Wednesday: painting that kitchen wall.
However I'm lucky in that I don't have a Mother In Law to worry about.
Actually, you're right though. Painting was the easiest part. I actually quite enjoyed it. It was the preparation before. Having to move stuff and cleaning the walls that was the killer.
I will be installing a new cooker some time in the week though, well *I* won't be but our electrician friend will be. But I'll be moving the old one out of the way, which I ain't looking forward too.
I am very tired from all the hard work I did today at the charity shop.*
*I tried to sell some house plants and bought a dress.
Ha, that does sound jolly trying!
So you work at a charity shop now? Did we know this? I think I remember you mentioning something about it.
I think I said? I only do Monday mornings. I've been sorting lots of smelly clothes and stuff too, but it was quite a fun shift today.
Heh. I hope you buy all the good stuff before it goes out.
I bought a dress today, which is a tad tight but apparently doesn't look it, which came in still with a price tag on it. It was from Zara, originally £35. I paid £3. I felt bad to pay so little but my colleague insisted. It had a mark on it, but I washed that out today very easily so!
Coooooooooooool!
The joy of second hand!
