A light green, which looks good. But then I ruined it by painting the window sill dark green. It looks a bit naff now.

Ha!
Well just put lots of plants on the windowsill. No one will ever know...
Yeah, it should be hide-able for now. But still, it pissed me right off. All those hours painting only to go f**k it up at the end.
If you reeeeeally hate it, you could just paint it white?
In an old house of ours I did some tiling and on a corner I didn't set the join quite right but I said to myself, "Oh, it's fine" and left it. For the next two years all I could see was the cock-up whenever I sat at the kitchen table - annoyed the hell out of me.
We're back on the same road now having lived in two other properties in the mean time. I often walk past the house and see the kitchen units I paid for and those tiles. We had a dishwasher too but money troubles got the better of us and we're in rented now. What a waste...

Yeah but, effort!
Get the mother-in-law to do it?
She probably would as well.
Score!
But she won't.
I'm actually starting the like the green and white look now, so I think I will deffo repaint all the boarders white (or re-whiten them) as I only did one strip of skirting board dark green. It looks like St Patricks day on one side of my kitchen at the moment.
I think we need pictures.
This isn't my kitchen but this is the kind of green contrasting that is going on on that stupid wall.
This is what I wanna aim for now though.
Ooh, a nice mossy/grey green, yes, I like that.
