I think a diploma is in between A-Level and degree, so I'm not sure how it compares to an NVQ.

It is, yes.

I have a diploma thingy in surveying and it got me a place at uni/HE college.

I originally intended on studying nursing but the thought of Angelic working in A&E is terrifying and (b) the thought of blood, vomit, poo and other bodily fluids terrifies me.

Skat/watersports are soooo 2003, DasButt.

Just got back from Holland.

Listening to music to cheer myself up.

That'll do it, Ellie.

You're welcome.

Are you sad because you're not on holiday anymore?

No, just because I know I have to go to work on Tuesday. I have enjoyed having a break. My life is too stressful!

Oooh. A piece of toast just popped out, jumped across the table and ended up standing up, balanced on one edge.

A-MAZE-ING!

Lol. The magical toast has now been eaten.

It's been 99F/37C for the last 6 weeks or so but tonight a freak cold front is supposed to roll through and tomorrow's high will be only 62F/17C. Hopefully there won't be any tornadoes involved.

What? You could have sold it on eBay to an idiot!

10 years ago this week we looked at a 3 bed house which we ended up buying. We lived there for six and a half years before having to go into rented for financial reasons. A couple of years later we rented another property in the same street and are still here. It's not the poshest of areas but it suits us but ultimately we want our own place again.

This evening I've seen a 4 bed on our road for £99,950 which looks like it may be a repossession. There's no chain and it's done out really nicely inside and has a decent sized garden - it's ridiculously cheap for what is because other 3 beds in the same style valued at around £120k.

If we had any sort of deposit put aside I'd be banging the agents door down because we have three kids who are getting to the age where they want their own space...anyone got a few grand in loose change? ;)

I'm not sure if we can do anything about this as it will probably be snapped up in no time but hey, nothing ventured nothing gained...

Sell a kidney!

God, I would love to own a house so much.

Sounds like a bargain. Doooooo iiiit.

Just heard that the 2 foreclosed homes nearby are under contract for something like $220k. Any of you want to be my neighbor? We have lots of beer.

Quiet on BCG today. Is it a bank holiday or something?
