I haven't seen Dr Who for years. The Daleks and 'Exterminate' are all I remember. Or is that from Lost in Space? No, the Daleks are Dr Who, 'Exterminate' might be Lost in Space. I think.

We were at a horse race today, much fun!

There were falcons, dogs and a funfair too, and so much tweed, I kept expecting Marc P to pop up. ;)

:( Just rescued another vole from cat, there will be none left round here soon.

Glad to see my kids are keeping with tradition. The aliens are freaking them out. I don't know if it's their weird mouths or their spindly fingers.

It's all that, plus the fact that their black suits seem to always look wet.
So creepy!

Do you mean the voles? ;)

Is off to kill half an hour by reading about Alzheimers and the role of beta-amyloid plaques in its development. YAY!

what job is it you're going for?

I'm not going for any job. It's just part of my diploma in health studies. I do find dementia quite interesting, but I've found digestion the most interesting part of the course so far.

I'd like to move into the health/science sector in any type of role, you see, but I only have GCSEs and I believe that's holding me back. Hopefully this diploma will strengthen my position.

Interesting what level are you looking for?

nb how does the diploma equate to an NVQ in care?

If you were looking to get back into the field did you ever consider becoming a personal assisstant?

Check up on Lewy Body Dementia as well?

Often confused with Alzheimers.

I think a diploma is in between A-Level and degree, so I'm not sure how it compares to an NVQ.

Oh right like a CATS point rated diploma?

What you hoping to do for work?

As above:

I'd like to move into the health/science sector in any type of role.

I see a lot of lab based jobs doing research that I'd be interested in, but they always want at least A-Level qualifications.
