Cheers guy. Yes I am gutted, but okay; I felt wretched about the lady being taken off in the ambulance, but they did not seem particularly worried about her. I have points from stupid speeding offences (stupid as in, 'what the f**k was a speed camera doing there?'), so if this is deemed lack of due care and attention I could lose my licence. Not that I would have much grounds for complaint. Oh well, it could have been much worse.

Glad no one was hurt, Timbo, but you do sound like a boy racer in denial.

Glad everyone was okay. But maybe you should drive a bit slower in future.
(I say this not to kick a man while he's down, but so we don't lose a member to a road accident!)

Cheers everyone. For the record I do not tend to to drive particularly fast, but I was not concentrating, which is probably more dangerous.

Hopefully I have learnt a lesson at not too much cost.

So was your new car new?
So to speak.

I'm madly brewing 10 gallons of Northern Mild in hopes it will be ready for the neighborhood birthday bash in 2 weeks. It'll be close but I think it'll be drinkable.

Un nuevo coche rather un coche nuevo.

*pops a babelfish in*

*hopes he got it the right way round*

Hope you keep your license, Tim!

The clocks are blinking 12:12, so there must have been a power cut, although I don't remember the lights going out.

Sounds like the synopsis for a particularly bad episode of The Twilight Zone.

Sorry to hear that, Timbo, but the main thing is nobody died or was badly injured. Understand the guilt - I've had 3 accidents, none my fault but 2 out of the 3 I wondered if I'd driven differently they might have been avoided.

On a different tack we set off for a jaunt to Argyll today thinking it best to be well away from Glasgow area during football. On the way back tonight, driving through Bridgeton Cross ( Google it) we were faced with a street battle of about 40 folk - not just youths but grey- haired men and women in best clothes (one brandishing a high heel as a weapon!). No way to go but forward! However we drove slowly and they were too busy fighting with each other to bother with us! All part of life's rich tapestry! Rolling eyes

Christ, I'm bored.

Christ, I'm bored.

So was he.

Christ, I'm bored.

As my grandfather always used to say, "There's no such thing as being bored. The problem isn't that you're bored, but that you're boring!".

The boring old c**t.
