In the U.S. we tend to call the dried seeds coriander while the fresh leaves/stems are called cilantro.

I ate a pile of cilantro last night when the Mexican neighbors hired a taco truck to cater a neighborhood shindig. Too. Many. Tacos.

I do like a good taco

Yeah, ruining small businesses everywhere!!!

Oh... TACO!

I like Taco.

Chip's just had a nap.

And if it gets cold just rearrange the ingredients of a taco and you have a lovely warm coat.

I can't eat anything with coriander leaves in. BLECH.

The seeds are the stronger flavour I believe. I grind the seeds up quite a bit in recipes. Never thought of comparing the strength of the taste though.

Cilantro is good on corn chowder.

It's a love it or hate it item. Bowls of cilantro are displayed near the salsas (most places have 5-10 kinds) so it's a voluntary decision when it comes to adding cilantro, salsa, peppers, onions, lemons, etc.
