No I get what you're saying, but I'm really struggling to think of any currently working, either on the telly on the circuit. Point me in the right (wrong) direction.

You're hugely supportive of women comedians and Alfred is hugely critical of them.

The picture he paints is exaggerated but what he says is by no means entirely without substance.

You must realise he's just trying to wind people up? Nothing wrong with that, it's often what the very best comedy is all about - but you're letting it get to you.

Don't!

Both men and women can be crap comedians and tell crap jokes but that's not what I'm talking about. When a man tells a sexual joke, his success depends on the quality of the joke and its telling. No 'normal' audience member is getting off on just hearing him say the words.

You're saying there's a whole subgenre of comedy that essentially consists of groups of men "getting off" watching attractive but crap women comediens talk unfunnily about sex?

One track mind.

Ha.

If anyone doubts it, he or she must just have arrived from another planet.

Can you supply some names of the worst offenders? And links of them in action?

Later, perhaps.

For now, come with me, Chip. I'll take you to our leader.

I'm not sure of her name but I do like that thin one with the curled up hair, what's her name? Yes I've stared at her on TV not listening to a thing she was saying before. There's a market for it, always has been. Do men really care what women say as long as they look fanciable?

You know what, I've just realised how futile it was getting worked up over the Millican thread. Based purely on that last post.

I can die happy now.

Ahem... talk about going off topic guys. Keep on topic in there... it's bad enough I have to read through tangents of threads on here let alone there.

Browsers don't want to read your arguments.

Thanks guys! :)

Something I wrote a while ago, seems relevant. A blog post about Lucy Porter's tits.

Personally I feel it's all relevant or related in some way and there were some good points made, if I say so myself. Rolling eyes

Not by you.

So I wrote a big rant about gender in stand up on my blog. I feel better for it now.

So you do have a gender agenda! Huh?
