Bunch of f**king c**ts. How dare they want more money. I would do anything to be a tube driver & risk the wrath of terrorism, fires, police shooting wrong people & suicidals throwing their wretched arseholes at my vehicle.
Ps I am looking for a new driver for my fallopian tubes.
1 London Transport drivers £50,000 station staff £30,000
That's a lot of money.
2 The strike is because Boris Johnson wants to stop paying for ticket staff who jobs have become redundant. If you bear in mind this happened because of the Oyster system (which cost a billion odd pounds), it's more than reasonable.
3 London Transport needs to simulataneously save 25% of it's budget and spend billions on investment. It's using computers on some lines from the 60s to work signals from the 30s. Ticket prices are already the highest in europe.
4 The RMT should f**king grow up. Coal, car building are all industries that went tits up because unions had ridiculous principles that simply made no economic sense.
Except if the RMT manage to hurt London Trnasport with a series of strikes. Then the ripple effect will spread and really hurt the economy.

Pft.
If money is that tight why aren't higher ups wages frozen or bonuses stopped? It's a convenient excuse for keeping wages as low as possible and profits as high as possible.
London Transport is completely in the red. There are very few "higher ups" on big wages. The "lower downs" are frankly well rewarded.
And in a massively complex metropolitan transport system. I'm quite happy knowing there's a few hugely well paid people who are the best at their jobs.
