If you want to be a plumper!
*shudder* Couldn't agree more.
Now you hate all art?
Thought it was just modern art. Which I doubt they teach in most schools.

Using me as a catalyst for reasonable debate is as sensible as building your house on marbles.
I quite liked art in school, it was drawing and messing around. I'd rather have drawn an apple than do maths!

Just the wankers and wanky stuff.
Art was fun until crazy teacher lady took over WHO COULDN'T DRAW A FUCKING STICK MAN. Silly cow.

And it would be really nice if as part of doing sums, they taught kids the basics of commercial transactions, i.e what is an invoice, a statement, a cheque etc. and what is the sequence in which they are used.
Plus shares, betting odds, and banking stuff. Would have been extremely useful.
Yes, a life skills class or something would have been a lot more use to me than RE. (Or was it RS..)
When I was at drama school, a design teacher told me that my drawing style was of the Naive School.
It may be a 'proper' movement in art, but it still sounded like she was taking the piss.

Or, past a certain age, chemistry, languages(Four years of French have really come in handy), woodwork, etc.

Life skills? What, a class teaching you that all your dreams will come to nothing and you'll lose the woman you love and end up settling for a succession of empty relationships with people you grow to despise?

Doing maths is more valuable then learning to draw an apple though.
If I ran a school subjects would be:
Sciences
Maths
English
Languages (German, French)
No dedicated IT lesson IT is spread through the other subjects as tools of learning.
Sports (Because we don't want a nation of fatto's)
Optional
Literature
ART.
Technology
