You didn't miss much, but I have a feeling it's repeated on ITV4 in the week.

The reviews have been so universally poor I'm not bothering.

I started watching it on a preview service a few weeks ago. Dull.
Especially when one remembers what a bright little treasure the original was.
I did like the way the village looked.
But that was about it.

Apart from the shot of the triangle houses next to the desert, a lot of the rest seemed to just look like a city to me. Though I stopped watching half an hour in, so maybe you saw more of it. You can't beat the originals quirky setting though.
Yes, definitely.
Port Meiron (sp?) is awesome. I want to live there.
Just finished mowing the lawn, fixing the gate in my fence (it no longer takes the strength of 10 men to do so) and committing herbicide on a few weeds. Now it's time to scrub down my gnarly gas grill.
I have to get married.
Ho Hum.
Because you're preggers?
Robyn's brother has just got home from a rugby tour in France, during which he was in a bad tackle, hit his head on the ground and was taken to hospital. He's going to be molly-coddled and in a mood. I feel sorry for him but am also slightly scared as to how it's going to be here for a few days.
No, not quite that bad, but I caught the bouquet at my friends wedding so I've gotta get a move on.
Quote: DaButt @ April 16 2010, 1:19 AM BSTNo. Players can be promoted, but not the teams. Membership in Major League Baseball is currently limited to 30 teams: 29 in the States and one in Canada. New teams can be created by expansion or by moving to a different city (both are somewhat rare occurrences) but I can't think of any professional sport in the U.S. where teams can be promoted or demoted.
Minor league teams play in small stadiums in small(er) cities and the players earn small salaries. None of the players are even slightly famous, unless they are former major league players who were sent down to the minors after performing poorly.
What a ridiculous situation. Where is the incentive?

I'm watching the entire series of the original right now. It is (next to "I Claudius") a high point in TV that is rarely exceeded.
