Do you know what date it airs, Ellie?

Sunday baby!

That's awesome? This sunday?
And did you use your special work powers to get in the audience or did your mum book a ticket for you before you were born?
Special powers of "knowing the right people"...
Just walked into town. A human statue painted white was attracting the delighted interest of no one. I got an urge to walk over to him as I produced a ten pound note then freeze as I pretended to put it into his collection box. Bet they get that a lot though.

It's not who you know it's who you blow
Yes those powers! Congrats, you manage to meet any of them after?
*Awaits for Chip to make a cleveage powers joke*

No, they come on do their stuff then leave. The whole day is a good fun day though. Laughed a LOT! You can tell they really enjoy doing it.

I was just trying to channel Aaron. It proved to be quite difficult, as the Channel is practically France as far as Aaron is concerned.

You didn't even get to touch the Stig's face helmet? I'm disappointed in you.

I doubt they do get it a lot. And if they do, they it's probably not enough. If they want to be paid for just standing around doing nothing they really should go and work at a train station.

But station employees don't do nothing! They spend their time being thoroughly unhelpful, irritable bastards, looking for reasons to go on strike.
I like the way on smaller stations that they lock up the ticket office half an hour before the next train is due to arrive, thus making it impossible to buy a ticket for it. Naturally, they need half an hour sitting in the staff room drinking tea in order to prepare themselves for the strenuous ordeal of holding up a table tennis bat and blowing a whistle. God bless 'em. *wipes tear from eye*
At my local station, there's only ever one of two guys there, despite it serving a very large area, and being terribly busy indeed (particuarly so given that it has just 2 platforms).
One is a moody fat Sikh and one is a moody unshaven white guy; you'd think they'd dressed a tramp.
The only time I've seen the latter do anything remotely resembling a smile or jolly nature was the day when someone jumped in front of a train there.

A fatally on the line is always welcome at a station on a regional branch line, of course, because it gives them the opportunity to cancel all the trains for three days and go down the pub instead.
