Good to hear. I'm picking up my copy next week.

Does it use more resources than XP?
Quote: Aaron @ November 2 2009, 12:14 AM GMTAnd in a bizarre coincidence, I installed the final version of Windows 7 on my PC today. I love a clean install, but I don't like messing it up with programs!
Mmmm me too. And yes, installing all the updates and ruining the newness does suck.
I'm wondering if my old laptop has a chance of running it, gonna do a HD swap tomorrow and see how it handles, if at all. This stuff sneaks up on you in odd ways, but I can't wait to try it out.

No, actually less, as far as I can tell. It has especially reduced its demands on your RAM and is not constantly trying to load up every program in its arsenal all at once.

Oh wow. Getting interested now. The reason I never bothered with Vista is cos I only have 750 meg of RAM. I should really upgrade, but it means opening my tower to have a look *sighs*
Windows 7 system requirements
If you want to run Windows 7 on your PC, here's what it takes:
1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
>_< Bloody hell, my laptop will never run it, but I'm still going to try.
Just got into an argument with my mother on Facebook over her making friends with all my friends and the fact that she keeps telling people to add me, including all of my dad's single hunting buddies. Arghh!!!
Billwill's pluumbing mishaps continue anew.
Yesterday the carpenter drilled a hole in one of the new pipes feeding the radiators, so when the plumber & I today, filled he radiator system...
Water all down the wall inside the false wall(%)and inside the tiling and cement rendering..
Aaaaaargh!
(%) behind this false wall is where I plan to hide the bodies and at this rate the whole building/plumbing team will be the first to be incarcerated there !!!!
Quote: Aaron @ November 1 2009, 11:32 PM GMTYou look like John Culshaw playing Tom Baker.
I nearly posted exactly the same thing earlier! The only difference being I would have said "Jon".
Free wifi on the plane. Hello from 30,000 feet over Alabama.
Is there some paranoid wacko eyeballing you and your laptop like it's all going to explode??? That happened to my sister on her last flight (over Alabama, coincidentally).
No, but there ain't much privacy.
Too slow for anything fun.
Oh, that's too bad.
Are you smooshed between chubbies? That's happened to me every time I've flown solo.
By fun, you don't mean porn, do you?
It's bad enough that the movies on my laptop have a few R-rated scenes. Not good when kids are around.
Home. It'll be nice to sleep in my own bed again.
