A pig's facial cheeks (I hope). Had them with some black pudding.

You are a braver woman than I, DD. :)

The kids are sad that they lost their Great Grandpa Mac. My daughter, who doesn't understand that he's a great grandfather told me this morning, "you know Mama? He really was a great grandfather." :D

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww :D

Brave or stupid? Hmmm....

Yep, pigs cheeks and sausage made from their blood is much nicer than it sounds.

Sick Sick

Great, the most exciting thing that's happened to me for ages makes people feel sick.

It'd have to be!

Well I hadn't eaten all day so maybe they seemed good because I was hungry.

It's times like that when I would turn to religion, or at least use it as an excuse.

Who got you to try pig cheeks? (note there was no comma after try).

It was on the menu and I was making myself try something different. If I move to Iceland I'll have to eat sheep's cheeks.

Well hats off to you for being open-minded, many wouldn't have. God though, they don't waste anything, do they?

I don't normally like pork much, but it was very tender. If you ever eat sausages you're eating far worse bits of the animal anyway. :)

That's true enough, but ignorance is bliss!

Ooooh, he's a natural then! Well done to you, sir! I just hope you didn't fluff up the acceptance speach for the award :)

It was all good. I would recommend it to anyone - it was a small group 20 or so. And a completly none agressive atmosphere.

Everyone is suportive and you get feedback. They start with a postive, then give you an area where you can improve and then end with another postive.

The best thing is it only costs 36quid for 6 months.

Not bad. I'd be far too timid to do such a thing though.

You can use it for whatever.

They "sell it" as a confidence boosting thing.

But it is an international thing with international competitions.

But its great for learning how to stand up in front of an audidence.

I've been advised to look into getting into motivational speaking for confrences on the back of my weight loss. But I had a really bad stutter as a kid and literally couldn't string a sectance together - so public speaking is still a bit of an ordeal for me. I still see rows and rows of kids laughing at me!

So, because you now know, that's the end of bliss ?

;)

but ignorance is bliss!

That's why Michael McIntyre's audiences always look so happy! Makes sense now.
