I've found it almost impossible to get 8 hours of sleep for most of my life, so I tend to sleep for 5 or 6 hours at night and then take a short (30-60 minutes) nap when I get home in the afternoon. It's convenient, doesn't affect my scheduled activities and I enjoy it.
