I do like Aaron, everyone is cracking on with their own chats and he is quite content to post his replies to comments made hours ago.
He's a world of his own bless.

Its too much for me - I'm off to bed.
Up to number 7!
Dorian Gray was a beautiful young man (who was a bit creepy) and didn't age because he had a magic self portrait in the attic, which aged instead of him.
Er, the book is better than that description.
Lots better.
(P.S. Ignore Roscoff)
(Not right now, just in general)

So where does the hunchback come into it?

You underestimate your literary powers. I for one was sold after the first chapter.

Quote: zooo @ September 11 2009, 12:08 AM BSTI've lived in a crappy flat in a good location before, and I've come to the conclusion that the most important thing (for me) is to have a nice place to come home to after a horrible, rubbish day, even if it takes a while to get there.
I was born & bred in West London & it was a real wrench to have to move to the other end of town.
Now I'm in Dagenham, in a lovely little place overlooking a park.
Just a District line journey away from my old haunts, which aren't half as pretty as where as I am now.

About 2 days then?
You'll have heard people make references to 'having a portrait in the attic' though. People do it all the time. Although of course if you didn't get it you'll have forgotten them saying it.
But anyway. Now you'll get it!

I've got a Joke book in the Attic.
And every time I check the jokes in the book seem to get newer & fresher.

I don't have a portrait in the attic but I do have a skeleton in the cupboard. Oh and a ten pence piece stuck down the back of the sofa.

I'd remember if I'd heard such a bizarre statement!

Good point.
The movie version that was shot in the 1940s was fantastic. It was done in very stark black and white, and when you got a glimpse of the portrait, especially after time has passed, it is incredibly jarring. I'd recommend it to everyone, and it should probably be in Tim's obscure movie thread.

Well I guaranteeeee you'll notice someone saying it over the next few months.
Probably in answer to a compliment about their youthful looks.
