I think we've upset someone Page 28

I'm not convinced about "bollockocity" either but I'm going to let that one go, just to show I'm not mentally unbalanced.

Well you'd just better not challenge prezunctly.

"bollockocity!"

Ahahaha! *Every* time...

Dan

I think you're safe, I'm pretty sure "prezunctly" is the sole preserve of BSG.

because it's rubbish

Is bollockocity the speed at which you are kicked in the nuts when remarking that your girlfriend's sister was a better shag?

I don't! I always go in for a hug and a fondle.

(I find handing them a tenner helps.
Or a kitten, obviously. Whichever you have to hand.)

You can't wipe your nose on a kitten! What sort of monster are you?

"rapey" is not a BSG word. It's in common currency. Especially on Popbitch.

It was developed here independently of any other usage. So it's a BSG word as far as we're concerned. :)

Now you're just wrong.

The extent to which something is "bollocks". :)

Surely it's that state of being "bollocks" I think you mean bollockiness

Bollocks are cool.

They are the dogs..

Been away for nearly a month so just catching up on the boards. So if I missed points in the bulk of this thread, apols.

I don't think MJ is referring so much to BSG as to other forums. BSG is much more polite, hell, even the moderators say 'please' when ticking off misbehaviour. Did I say hell?. Sorry.

As someone said, not everyone here is an aspiring writer and not all crit is bitter invective. From what I've seen of the sitcom part of the BSG forum, most discussion is thought-out and intelligent.

Does it mean when you want to become a writer, you have to leave your opinions about comedy behind? After all those real and potential rounds of rejection and blank dismissals from production company executives, surely the commission and broadcast is the biggest approbation a writer can receive, rather than timorously trawling internet forums for audience opinions with a bottle of cheap vodka to numb the pain? If a writer is so scared and hurt by the public's reaction then they're in the wrong game.

Personally, I don't think this is a reference to the polite people at BSG. :)

EDIT: shows I should visit the comedy sub-group more often eh? :$ Laughing out loud
