Has there been a thread about his untimely death? Sorry if there has but I can't be arsed trawling to check.
Anyway, by all accounts it seems he was a thoroughly decent bloke as well as one of the more important people in British comedy, being instrumental in bringing programmes like The Fast Show and The Royle Family to our screens.
I just think it's a great shame - there's not enough talent like his around and everyone I've spoken to who knew him say he'll be terribly missed.
Wisdh I'd met the guy before he checked out. RIP Geoffrey.
