Snippet of Stand-up

The other thread about stand-up reminded me of this one I thought up the other day. Not had chance to ask opinions of people yet and I've never really posted any of my stand-up stuff on here so here goes.

Where I come from there's this superstitious thing that some people do. When you wake up on the first day of each month you say "white rabbits" and then you're supposed to get good luck. I used to do it because my girlfriend got her period around that time each month and they hit her pretty hard. She used to say "white bedsheets"

Thoughts?

Cheers

This is a tough one for me as without sitting on the fence It would depend on delivery which when done right I could see this getting a big laugh.
Also could be a good start to more work around superstitions.

Hope that helps

Yeah I was a little hesitant in posting this because the timing and delivery pretty much makes or brakes it.

I was planning on saying white rabbits and white bedsheets like a little kid making a wish, so with my eyes closed, fists clenched and with lots of enthusiasm. Also, there would be a reasonable pause before "She used to say white bedsheets".

Cheers for the feedback

Personally I would say no to this. More likely to make people ooh rather than laugh, in my experience.
