Not so much that they changed the lines to the song, more that they added an extra spoken bit on to allow Mark his party piece.
This won't make much sense unless you know some of the characters the actors use to portray various personality types.
One of Daniel Beale's [which he used to sing your song] is "Mr Lovestar", a white rasta pimp. This is a character who is capable of extreme sadism and suffice to say, Mark enetered as Postman Phat's much abused "pussy".
This falls well short of full explanation but i hope you get the gist.
With luck Mark might include it on his "clips from the show" tape, which he sends out to the writers, and hopefully you'll be able to see for yourself.
