Two Pints - Series 8 Page 3

I'm sure Johnny isn't coming back. But that 'it was all a dream' thing is exactly the sort of thing they would do, I reckon.

Not necessarily in this case, but generally.

That's a good idea... although it sounds a bit messy! I reckon this will definitely be the last series, so I hope they end it on a high. I'm a big fan of the show, but I'm slightly cautious.. I don't want them to ruin it. Many said Nickson and the BBC shouldn't have even tried to do another series without Ralf, but I actually think series 7 is one of the funnier ones! And slightly more serious ... seeing Janet struggling to cope with the loss of her husband (understandable!) was quite moving, although I'm a soppy git anyway. But I do think they managed to pull off series 7 quite well in the circumstances of losing a big character.

Yes, I do agree. Tricky situation handled well.

Ralf Little was fed up with the show when he left (and I guess he thought he could do better... quite rightly as it happens), hence I really can't see him returning.

I'm sure they'll find plenty of plots though... the new guy behind the bar has proved himself so I guess he'll now be in it more too.

(Look... I'm actually writing about Two Pints without being rude! It's off my hate list now... Coming Of Age has taken that place)

I have to agree losing Ralf is unfornate but they have a good character on the show now (The bar-man) and I am sure they will be many jokes from him in Series 8 so they have choosen well on the new replacement.

Well. Well. I think you might be turning. Lol

I have got to say , thanks for everyone so far for adding a comment on the topic as I thought that no one would.

Hi ,

just wondering I am setting up a brand new forum and I was wondering if you like to leave comments in it.

"I like the way it's really diirrrrtttty."

"I like how they celebrate stereotypes - that gay fella, for example, he's well queer!"

"I like the way they nick jokes and situations from other shows."

"I like their total patronising attitude to an audience whom they suspect can't actually spell "patronising."

"Gays, they're not predujiced against gays, they just like making a cock=arse gag, that's all, most episodes."

"People are sad, and lonely, and without any reason to live, that's good if you think about it. They f**k like bunnies to heal the pain. There's an audience, isn't it?"

"Try and be a heterosexual, attractive couple who know how attractive and heterosexual you are. And f**k the closet gay running the bar."

"Can't do a gag about sex/genitals? How... do... you... live?"

"I wank, you wank, we all wank, don't we...? Er, there's a joke there, you see?"

"I can write about cum-swallowing, anal sex, piss-sex, farting fannies, infedelity, taut nipples, poo, masturabttion, masturbation with toys, how Tim is a great f**k... blah, blah, blah... every boring functinality of human bodies and relationships - and none of the love and genuine feelings that keep people together through the years ('cause they are destined to split-up)- and dare to criticise without humour those who take the piss in a small, innocuous way about me."

INT. DESPAIRING HURTFUL INDIFFERENT SADNESS. DAY

JANET IS STICKING 'TWEENIES' WITH HYPODERMIC NEEDLES INTO HER GROIN. JOHNNY FINISHES VOMITING AND WALKS INTO THE LIVING ROOM, WANKING THE DILDO UP HIS ARSE.

JANET: Come and feel, Johnny. Corinthian's kicking like you kicking my labia violently when we weren't in an unrealistic sitcom.

JOHNNY WALKS ACROSS, STOPPING TO PUNCH A PACKET OF CORNFLAKES OFF THE BREAKFAST-BAR, THEN CHANTING "ALLAH IS GREAT" AND CARRYING A BOMB...

CUT TO:

I thought you were getting better, Tim.

Someone suggested banning Tim between midnight and 7am. I'm thinking that it's not such a bad idea.

Seriously Tim, if you don't want your writing career, I'll have it?

Are you on self destruct mode?

I believe his full name is Dr Tim Jekyll Hyde Walker.

*shaking head*

Tim, Tim, Tim . . .

Just wondering if there is any news on when tickets will be avilable for the filming of Series 8?

FYI, tickets are now available for series 8: http://www.bbc.co.uk/tickets/

At the time of writing there's also tickets available for a Two Pints/Grownups/Coming Of Age joint Comic Relief special. It's my idea of hell (three of my least favourite sitcoms on screen together - ahhh!), but no doubt this will be some people's idea of heaven. Enjoy.

Hi ,

Thankyou for letting me know about the tickets for the one off special and you won't believe how fast I was on the site snapping them up so hopefully I will get them and hopefully we won't have to wait untill Nov 09 for the filming of the full series due to the special being filmed soon.

Thanks Admin Guy (Sorry I forgot your name)
