Turd.

Skinny turd at that.

Wonderful TOTPP... Rolling eyes

Well, Sex And The City won various awards (Emmys, Golden Globes etc) in the Comedy Series category, so that's good enough categorisation for me.

But they're wrooooooooong!

:)

Some of Mellie's finest.

I double hate Will and Grace.

I quadruple double up hate Sex and The City.

I hate it like Attila hated Roman civilisation. Hated it like God hated idolatry, loathed it with the pure undiluted hatred of a slug for salt.

Yea man 'Sex in The City' is my double extra hated show.
Will and Grace was redeemable, overrated but I don't hate it.

And now Phase Two:

to get around the problem of people sneaking in nominations at the last second, here's the list of nominated Loves and Loathes that haven't been knocked out yet.

You've got until, umm, sometime tomorrow, to register objections on this thread to any of the following:

UNIVERSALLY LOVED

Steptoe And Son, Blackadder, Porridge, Dad's Army,QI, Black Books, Futurama, Fawlty Towers, Hancock's Half Hour, Yes Minister and Yes, Prime Minister,
Absolute Power, The Thick Of It, Viz, Rising Damp, Not The Nine O'Clock News, A Bit Of Fry And Laurie, Peep Show, One Foot In The Grave, The Rise And Fall of Reginald Perrin, Cheers, Seinfeld, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy (radio version),
Not Going Out, Frasier, Victoria Wood - As Seen On TV, Lead Balloon, Colin's Sandwich, Cheers, Rentaghost

UNIVERSALLY LOATHED
Little Miss Jocelyn,The Liver Birds, ...And Then You Die,
'Orrible, Get A Grip, Will And Grace, The Crouches,
Mad About Alice, According To Bex, Babes In The Wood,
Dharma And Greg, Sex And The City

Please only object if you really hate one of the top list, or like one of the bottom list. "Erm it's OK I don't mind it" doesn't cut the mustard. Nor does "I've never heard of it".

Get A Grip was billed as a comedy series.

:)

We won't have anything left. :(

Not Going Out needs to go.

Again, sorry Julia.

I'm afraid I really like Sex and the City (not as a comment on 'modern women', just as an entertaining show. And not as a fecking comedy either.)

But do you reeeeeeeeaaally hate it?? :(

I'll go through the results tomorrow! Even if we only end up with one or two shows that everyone seems to like and/or hate, or those that don't don't mind them, or haven't heard of them, that'll be very enlightening. (And PLEASE give genuine views...)

No but I don't loooooooove it. Isn't that the point? I'm confused. :S

NO. THE POINT IS TO FIND SHOWS WHICH SOME PEOPLE LOVE ENOUGH TO NOMINATE, EVEN THE OBJECTORS DON'T ACTUALLY MIND, AND NOBODY ACTUALLY HATES.

I have to question Viz. Based on the number of people online this evening, the only few people to have even heard of it, like it. It really doesn't seem fair to include something which so few people have seen (or indeed read).

As for The Daily Show, bah. I don't feel I've seen enough to say I really hate it that much, but it's not really funny.

And is The Colbert Report even broadcast in this country? I don't recall ever seeing it in my TV guide.
