Any ideas with these shows?

It was about a guy trying to live in his mother's home I believe. Every time he tried to do something she didn't like it would somehow be sabotaged. We are in the US and I have no idea what show it was.. had to be on our PBS station about 8 years ago.

There was another show that took place in a small town.. one of the main characters lived in a 2 storey home, part of row houses I believe. They always seemed to be going through different parts of this house during the show.. ironing board seemed to be set up in one room most of the time. I believe they had friends in one of the homes directly across from theirs also. There was a problem finding the correct house after an evening of partying also.

Sorry we only saw these a few times, but would like to figure out the series so we can watch them again.

Hi Nancy,

First one may be 'Sorry!' with Ronnie Corbett.

Hi, Thanks.. Just looked that up and I think you are right! You are quick! :)

No problem, glad to be of help. I thought the second one sounded like Three Up, Two Down, but I'm less sure about it now.

Yes, the first is definitely Sorry!. Do you have an idea of time-period for the latter? I.e. was it a 1980s show? 1990s?

I am not sure of the year but I would have watched it in 2000 or 2001, but it definitely had a 70s or 80s feel to it.. maybe 90s.

I just looked up Three Up, Two Down and it is not that one.. wish I could remember more..

hahaha So Twentieth Century then. :)

Strike One!! :(

How about Men Behaving Badly?

Nancy, don't suppose you have any idea of accents, do you? So where in the country it may have been set, basically...?

No.2 isn't Bedtime is it?

Edit: Actually, I don't think it is. Hmmmm.

Sorry not a clue on the accents.. I just know it had to be a british show as it was in that format more than what is usually seen here in the US.

strike 2..not Men Behaving Badly

Were they old people or young?

Eeeep!

Aaron not a clue on part of the country.. it was not the homes like you might see on Open All Hours or but more like those I remember seeing on A Fine Romance.. not out in the country, but definitely a more upper scale neighborhood

Zooo

They were in their 30s I would say.. maybe a bit older for some. I believe there were older family members in the story line but for the life of me I cannot remember more.

*swings*

Game On? I don't think it is, but it's the ironing board.

Could be anything that second one! One Foot in the Grave? Even Gimme Gimme Gimme! (Though I think the explanation would have been somewhat different!)
