Top 3 Over rated British sitcoms. Page 26

I wouldn't say I liked it, it was just much better - ie better written, more gag-heavy than G & S. While I was watching it I thought 'I bet this gets panned'. If you analyse both at a writing level it's clearly better, but that's not how criticism works.

At the end of the day it's amusing that H & C was slaughtered because it shows that people aren't really able to tell shit from shinola without help.

I didn't include Gavin & Stacey either because I just didn't realise it was a sitcom. Surely not.

The three I would pick are Green Wing, Gavin and Stacey and According to Bex. :D

Surely According to Bex was never rated in the first place.

'Twas a joke.

In my world everything is according to Bex. ;)

I think I'm one of the few people on here who like Gavin And Stacey. :)

I didn't dislike it, just didn't think it was as great as the awards and press implies.

I liked it quite a lot, probably one of my favourite Brit comedies of the last few years (which is a bit odd as it's not my usual thing), but my word did it ever get a kicking on here! A lot of people really seem to hate it. :D

I seriously question your sanity.

Then what are you doing here ffs ?

:P Oh bugger off, you know what I meant.

Matt, imagine someone said to you: "The trouble with the League of Gentlemen is it's unimaginative, poorly written and very badly acted." That's what it feels like when people praise Gavin & Stacey. I wonder whether they are talking about a different show to the one I've seen but with the same name on a different channel.

Perhaps you like G & S more if you haven't spent most of your life mixing with Essex shitbags.

Welcome to the AGM of Pedants Anonymous !

I don't know why so many people are so hard on Gavin and Stacey. I think it's really funny and masively charming. I would've never thought I'd ever be into something which is basically a rom-com, but I love it.

hard on

*snigger*

Most people, myself included, find James Corden's existence offensive.
