Hey, I'm all about the cheap jibes. So shoot me. (Refuses to give back jelly babies.)

Could I have a red one?

Hmph. Fine. I'll get some more.

Could I have a red one?

No, they're my favourite.

A black one then?

Don't gimp me off with a green one. :(

I love the green ones! I'll swap them for the black ones. :D

Perfick.
I only ever like red and black sweets. Or purple, if available.

Don't be dissing the green ones.

You've put the thought of jelly babies in my head now. I could really go for some.

Well, you've already nicked mine. Greedy.

Lovely. Eh?
Thief. Angry

Hey, I'm no thief. You gave them to me. You can't take back a gift after it's been given. What are you, Welsh?

Someone who considers Terry And June and On The Buses to be "sinister", really shouldn't be lecturing others on their understanding and interpretation of comedy.

They are both sinister, Terry and June is a description of a nightmare society.
No children, no blacks, only neurotic couples. Endlessly, joylessly arguing over who's going to feed the boss his ritual sacrifice.

I love Kurt Vonegutt, Harlan Ellison and other apocalyptic scifi writers. This vision of the future is scarier than any of theirs.

Terry and June used to genuinely frighten me as a child.

It's the BBC's version of "I have no mouth but must scream,"

I understand how the humor works in it, I just don't enjoy it.

I think you're being a bit simplistic in your labeling of what is smart comedy. But I understand where you're coming from. There are a lot of people who can't even watch a smart comedy like 30 Rock that does include gags who can't even find it funny. And that I think is what is becoming worrisome.

Probably was a bit harsh. What I meant to say was, it's one thing to not enjoy humor another to not even understand how it works.

No children, no blacks

Sounds heavenly to me.

That isn't worth responding to.

Then why did you? :)
