Too be honest it's a good write up, but not one I'd use.

It requires to many conceptual jumps by the audience.

It's to be honest a diferent sketch.

One where GWB gets matey with KJI becuase they're on the same wavelength (brain dead).

If you're pastiching a pre-exitising sketch you need to be very faithful, and quite respectful to the original.

Once it isn't a man complaining at a shop, it isn't the Parrot sketch.

Also GWB not being an idiot, has maybe a little irony value?

"Too be honest it's a good write up, but not one I'd use."

I'll take that as thanks, but no thanks then. :)

"It requires to many conceptual jumps by the audience."

Now you're getting technical with me here, remember I'm a beginner.

"It's to be honest a diferent sketch. One where GWB gets matey with KJI becuase they're on the same wavelength (brain dead)."

I wouldn't say 'gets matey' more like finally found someone who he could get the better of in a negotiation.

"If you're pastiching a pre-exitising sketch you need to be very faithful, and quite respectful to the original. Once it isn't a man complaining at a shop, it isn't the Parrot sketch."

Got me confused here. Do you feel that we have handled this in different ways and somehow yours is more respectful to the original than mine?

"Also GWB not being an idiot, has maybe a little irony value?"

Now come on, now you're just clasping at straws surely;)

Can we agree to artistic diferences on this one?

Please.

I like both.

Bandage how many times have I told you to put your bisexuality in it's own thread.

Matt's re-write would be good as a stand-alone, but I like Joel's more. I agree, those lines could be delivered in a 'dumb', Bush-esque way.

Wasn't really disagreeing with anyone, just using the opportunity to learn from some more experienced writers:)

Most people to seem to prefer yours, I never knew so many people could be that wrong :P

You hardly post enough Matt, I'd love to see more of your stuff.
