Hey WL, sorry about lifting your wallet, I forgot to top up my Oyster.

I was literally moments away from leaving the venue in a huff over my disappearing wallet.

I only have a few decent pictures. Most of them came out blurry. I do have a lovely shot of Aaron though and one of Mark too.

Go on then. Do your worst...

Agreed... it was also pretty expensive. The Anchor was nice... but we didn't have the place to ourselves...and it was only due to me shouting when I got there they got their arses in gear.

But to be fair, they did sort it out rather than objecting. And we weren't all squashed into a corner in quite the same way as previously.

And surely you're never going to find anywhere particularly cheap that's within a reasonable travelling distance of, well, anywhere?

There's a rather famous alternative at the right end of Borough High Street - the George? Converted former coach yard, 200 yards from London Bridge. Without the river view, but excellent in all other respects including beer...

Hmmmmm

How about the Coach and Horses?

Maybe we could book the Private Eye dining room?

Yeah, but a bit harder to find for the uninitiated, and quite bare inside, no?

You know I'm right. Let's face it - the place perfect in that respect, but it certainly wasn't an issue, and it could have been a hell of a lot worse.

Oh, and you can add me to the ranks of those wanting the Anchor to be the official BSG pub. Great night, Ells, Aaron and Mark. So great I stepped on a glass just out of sheer excitement like a continental.

Laughing out loud Laughing out loud That was a great moment!

My favourite Ben moments was him following me into the female loos TWICE! And when he nearly spilt his fish and chips everywhere TWICE. :)

How about close to the ponies?

Please...... and thank you.

What ponies? They're a menace wandering all over the place.

Forutnately the police shoot them regularly.

It got a makeover a couple of years back. Like most places it has a function room, I think on the first floor. I can take a look but I may not be back till March. Just get on to Borough High Street and finding it is pretty easy.

Hey, you've got lots of options...
