A 'posting'

A sudden thought - am I missing something or has there really never been a sitcom based on the Royal Mail/postmen..?

Someone tell me what's staring me in the face from the historical listings.

Interesting thought, Jolanta. Can't think of anything offhand... Hm.

All I can think of is Cliff in Cheers.

I'm sure I vaguely remember one, but I can't recall the name.

Though it may have been a dream or summut....

There was that comedy drama on BBC One called Sorted. It starred Hugo Spear and Will Mellor.

That's the one I was thinking of. Kudos to you sir.

What about the one with that chap who drove a red Royal Mail van with a cat in a village?

Postman Pat wasn't exactly a sitcom!

Was it Harry Enfield that did a take on that, El Postino (or something)?

Can't recall a sitcom about postmen, but there was a sitcom about milk-men called 'Bottle Boys' starring Robin Askwith, from the Confessions films, regarded by some as the worst ever sitcom. That's near enough, innit? Same sort of principle.

Shit, I was about to say that!
;)

Had completely forgotten about this one:

I can't even remember whether it was any good. Probably not.

Good in the way that 'Up The Elephant And Round The Castle' with Jim Davidson was "good".

I drove past the hospital yesterday! And wondered if you were inside, injecting someone in the head, or something... (I don't know medicine.)
