An episode is being shown on BBC Four tonight.

The John Steed/Emma Peel one, not Marvel comics was indeed a TV series in the 1960s in UK.
The New Avengers was made in the 1970s With Joanna Lumley and Cockney rhyming slang stalwart Gareth Hunt, who appeared to masturbate coffee beans in the Nescafe ads.

Just to recap we started with John Steed and Dr. David Keel......
then Keel was replace by Cathy Gale.....
she was then replace by Emma Peel....
who was replaced by Tara king.....
....who then left and Gambit and Purdy joined to make up the New Avengers..

I never saw the original show...but the movie was pure crap.
