Ghostbusters 3 Page 2

The second was ropey but had a good moment or two. It was that dumb cartoon that stuffed it up.

Bill Murray is fantastic. I love Groundhog Day as well.

One of his finest movies.

YES! Bring it on, I can't wait! This will be good..it must be good.

...So this is what happens when doves cry.

:D

I even liked him playing a straight role in 'Lost in Translation' - which was written especially for him. And even when he did 'Hamlet' I couldn't help laughing when he fell out of the cupboard after being stabbed, just because of the way he did it.

Old actors reprising their old parts hasn't worked so well so far, but I guess they know people will watch it whatever it's like.

The first ever record I bought was Ray Parker Jnr's track to the first film :$
It was only 50p though.

In Steve Martin's biography he said some really nice things about many comedians. For his time working with Bill Murray in the early days of SNL he said he would watch in amazement at anything Murray did calling him a genius. While he said a lot of nice things about a lot of comedians I think that was probably the highest he gave anyone in that book.
As a side note....it's a GREAT book for anyone who is a comedy fan. Even non-Steve Martin fans would love it.

Ha.

I think it could be good. Good writers, Bill Murray.

Wasn't Murray set to become a Doctor, or a Lawyer, when he was younger, but got busted for drug posession, a la Samuel L. Jackson's character, in The 51st State?

So, apparently Colombia are putting Ghostbusters 3 into development with the main original cast members (Murray/Ackroyd/Ramis) on board. The screenplay is going to be written by two writers from the American version of 'The Office'.

Mmmn... is this a good idea?

The first Ghostbusters was a classic. Ghostbusters 2 though? Had some good moments, but plot outflanked laughs I think. Plus it got a little too schmaltzy towards the end.

As The Mummy 3 proved, making a sequal after so long will not be good. But it may be worth seeing. The only thing that concerns me is that the special effects will be too good; you've got to love the cardboard aliens.
