Aaron, you missed the misuse of loan instead of lone in the phrase "loan machine gunner".

"Your powers are weak, old man." In a linguistic sense, natch.

That was deliberate; the line refered to a brave man who only borrowed a machine gun. Also he's defending himself against people who abuse grandmothers in the US midwest.

I believe a colloquialy term for them is grammers.

I rarely read sootyj's posts any more. They're largely indecipherable. I don't remember the middle part of that sentence at all!
