Have any of the writers on here ever sent a script to an American production company?
American comedy films....lack of humour Page 5
Yup. Now go look for my name on the IMDb. That's right, I'm not there.
I'm surprised English writers don't talk about America more.
I saw Tropic Thunder and it was really funny. I think just about anyone on this forum would find it funny. Great acting, great comedy timing, risky. Just all around a rare chance to see an actually funny movie.

Must admit I am looking forward to seeing this. It's got Steve Coogan in as well, hasn't it?
Anyone seen Pineapple Express? From the trailers it looks like it may be a refreshing change to all the Farrel/Stiller/Vaughn bollocks.

Yes he has a very good part in the film.

Yes! I really wanted to see it but none of my friends nor my fiancee wanted to go. But yes it does look very funny. I love that crew of ex-Freaks and Geeks actors and writers.

Seen it on the itnernet, yeah. Oh, it's good though. James Franco is excellent and so is Craig Robinson from The Office. There's even a reference to Hot Fuzz in it.
I do want to see Tropic Thunder now.
I don't get the title though.

Ah. Just feels like Tropic of Thunder would be better. Or even Tropical Thunder. Just don't get it. Maybe it's an American thang.
