Perhaps God is a woman and got upset and is now ignoring us in a huff?
Both equally likely.

I went to church last Christmas. But it was only to listen to their brilliant choir singing Christmas songs.
I love Xmas, so I'll do anything Xmassy.
The preachy bits inbetween the songs make me SO incredibly uncomfortable though.

I dont think I've ever been to church.
I've probably only been in a church about 10 times.
Mostly for school concerty things (and funerals).
Atheist. Heaven and all that bollocks is a nice idea, but it is, like I said, bollocks. I can't really understand how anyone believes in all that stuff anymore, I always sort of think people who do are essentially a bit weak. Face up to the nothingness and the emptiness of existence! Plus Christians are creepy.

I want to think that too. That is my natural default setting. But then a number of my best friends are christians, and believe some of that stuff (to differing levels). And apart from the religious thing they are totally excellent funny ironic clever people.
So I end up very confused.
I am always a bit disappointed to find out that people I like believe that the stories in the bible actually happened, though. That freaks me out a bit.
I don't mind people believing what they like as long as they don't inflict it on others.
Some people will believe anything and everybody believes something.
I personally was an agnostic.
Now it's of no interest to me what I am.
Atheist. Theist. Agnostic.
So what?

Everyone's doing this! Why can you not distinguish between believing in a creative force of some kind and being a fecking Christian or whatever. They didn't invent and patent the idea of a God! The two are not intrinsically and inseparably linked.

Christians are not creepy.
Just slighty mad enough to warrent crossing the road when you see one. (You can always spot them by looking out for the big sandwich board saying "I <3 God") .

***Remembers going to church scene from The Omen***
Why do people always ask if "you believe in God" as though it is a given that we're all convinced there is a God to believe in, in the first place? It's like, "do you believe in Father Christmas"?
I suppose I could answer, "there is a God but I have no belief in it whatsoever because it has shown itself to be a spineless, feckless, lazy so and so. Therefore it doesn't have my vote."
Or I could answer "How can I believe in something I don't believe exists?".

Do you find all religious people creepy, or just Christians?
