OK so I'm outside of a few Stellas but this was on television as well as in Take It From Here on Radio wasn't it?
If it was, anybody got anything?

Yes, that's right. The radio series, the Glum family that appeared in Take It From Here starred Jimmy Edwards and June Whitfield and written by Frank Muir and Dennis Norden. The Edwards character was an early prototype for Alf Garnett.
But anyway, there was a LWT series called The Glums written by messrs Muir and Norden and starring Edwards as well as Dad's Army star Ian Lavender. This had two series, in 1978 and 1979.
And this is not the first time Old Rocker you've admitted on this forum you've had a few Stellas inside of you. I'd stay off it if I was you, bloody horrible stuff. I'm personally on the old Scrumpy Jack Cider tonight, but I would honestly stay off that Stella stuff.
Ah but Jack . . . . .
in the corner shops around here you can get the Belgian brewed Stella !
I wouldn't wash my socks in the 'Brewed in the U.K.' version !
A world of difference.
I am a real ale fan as well by the way . . . .

The series was made after The Glums was revived as a continuing short segment in LWT's Big Night Out, and was one of the most popular bits in it (apart from Brucie's 'tache). Patricia Brake played Eth and Lavender played Ron.
BTW, what the f*ck was I doing up at 4AM in 2008 ?
Love the radio version. Haven't seen the TV version - heard that it didn't really take on. In Ron's own words..."They're going to television me!"
There is a clip on YouTube (or used to be) of Ronnie Barker playing Ron.
Eth: "Mr Glum - Ron is going to be te-le-vised!"
I will be getting this as I really like Ian Lavender (Dad's Army - Pike) and Patricia Brake was great in Porridge and Going Straight as Ingrid (Fletcher's daughter "Look dad I'm wearing a bra").
Oh sorry, I was expecting Griff and Lady Laughter?
