Isn't that called a drama?

Sorry, Griff, (deleted post) I thought you were referring to W&G as a drama. Granted, it features drama queens. (phew! Narrow escape!)

Thanks for the tip. I'm thinking of putting a few edgy, racist jokes in the cover letter. Any advice?

Don't forget to mention in your covering letter that you appreciate them taking the time to read your script. That you're realistic about your chances of getting commissioned, as you realise that showbusiness is effectively run by sodomites acting at the behest of The International Jewish Conspiracy.

Not really.

Having characters come out with knowing funny lines would grate.

do you not find Morrace's answer...i.e... Put that in your covering letter........to be really funny as opposed to a joke? That's not a 'knowing funny line' as you are pointing out. I think it's the right kind of humour for the British sitcom

Just to add, I was still laughing at the line when I got in bed last night, it so made me laugh
