Script Writing software ? Page 4

What I do BB is write over an already existing script, that way you don't have to keep formatting and if a line is good you can reuse it!

:)

Me too.

I honestly think Scriptsmart is perfectly adequate at this level. I've had a look at FD and it seems to have too many extras that I know I'd never use. I also found FD required more input from the user than scriptsmart, so scriptsmart seemed easier. Maybe FD is better for feature films, but for sketches, radio and sitcom I'd say save your money and use Scriptsmart.

Hey guys,

Please could someone tell me which template/format in Script Smart Gold 2 is for TV sketches (there only seems to be one for radio sketches)?

It might depend on whether they prefer One-Camera format as used in Film Scripts or Three-Camera format as used in Studio Sitcoms.

Your best bet is to call the production company that you hope to sell to and ask them what format they prefer.

See my site for 14 significant formats http://www.datahighways.net/dhl/toolkit.htm

Though I do not have one specifically for TV sketches.

I had a go on Final Draft demo and it was good but I wouldn't pay for it, especially when I've got Celtx.

Celtx is really good, it makes writing your script very easy and you can go at your own pace - whether it be fast typing or slow thinking. Plus it's completely FREE and you can publish your work to ProjectCentral.

ProjectCentral is where you can read other people's work and comment on it and they can comment on yours. Admittedly, it isn't as busy as one might like so you might not get any comments but it's still all FREE.

You should check it out before you buy any software.
