I definately agree with him, about finding a writing partner. Having almost completed 6 episodes of a sitcom all on my own, I know how boring solo writing can be. I will definately be looking for a writing partner/partners, before I start any other future project.
By the way, what is the other Father Ted writer up to these days?

Arthur Matthews is his name, I believe. I saw a pilot he wrote called "Eejits" about a couple of older guys trying to make it as a rock band. Not very good and I don't think it got picked up.

That was certainly not his best work. I'd like to see him write with Graham again. They won't hit the heights of Father Ted again, but I'm sure they'd be able to put out something better than most sitcoms at the moment. After saying that, I don't want The IT Crowd to come to an end yet. There's some good advice in that article btw.
I like the IT Crowd too. I'd like to see another after the upcoming 3rd series.
I read Linehan's blog and I recall him saying that he tried to bring Matthews on board for series 2 of The IT Crowd but the vibe was all wrong.
