Stand up gig Page 2
Well done, dannyjb1. I envy those who can do comedy with their mouth. I turn into a blethering, blithering idiot when I have to speak in public.

As I said before, as though who have met me in RL I am actually a shy person in flesh, and barely say boo to a goose (not that the opportunity has ever arrisen) but on stage I have created a comedy persona, which I think is how I got through it.
You should never say boo to a goose, they can break your arm with their wing. Or is that swans?
EDIT: Breaking news. I've just been landed with a leaving speech later. For somebody I should know, but don't really. Ace.
I did a few gigs some went well, some not.
Problem is I usually dislike the audience and they can tell.
I'm not there to entertain them, they're to make me feel good about my self.
Maybe, maybe I should get off my arse and do some more standup.
It's fun though isn't it?
Found out a friend of my had a second mental break down, partly brought on by standup.....

Down south, Maidstone in Kent.
It's odd laughter is great, booing is exiting.
Being ignored is horrible.
Quote: Griff @ August 20 2008, 8:36 AM BSTI shouldn't bother writing anything then. Maybe just read a chapter of your novel, see how that goes?
Might do an interpretive dance.
Congrats Danny - takes a lot of guts.

A surprising number of comedians are shy in real life.

Use your Booker Prize winning speach. I'm sure they'll never notice.
Nice one Danny. Well done mate. Wish I had the guts. And material
Dan

Not sure I have either... but am still buzzing a little.
Hey Dan,
use any of the material we worked on? Or have we discussed this and I forgot?
And congrats!

The heart is still the same, removed some bits that didn't work added a few new bits, finally found the opening that works, and the ending.
All good. Thanks to you, Bex and Stuart for all the help.
Not sure this'll work but my first poster -
I'd love to do stand-up but I reckon the weight of from the shit in my pants would prevent me from getting on stage. I really must see a doctor about that.
