First time I ever heard of Gervais was on The Eleven O'Clock Show (and maybe some street-interviewing-type-stuff for someone). Was that part of The Comedy Lab? Or are you referring to something else?

He had a sitcom 'Golden Years' in one of the Comedy Labs. I have it on DVD somewhere, but have never seen it. It was after The 11 O'Clock show, but before The Office. Perhaps it was the 2000 run of CL.

And Seefacts ;)

I got the writer's brief this week - made interesting reading. There's a couple of change in the 'style' of the series.

Because the 11 O'Clock Show gave him his break before Comedy Lab, not mention his CL wasn't that good.

I thought his Lab was good - it was basically a dry run of The Office.

I really hope they're not introducing a nude angle.

Laughing out loud

Winterlight, you should be a writer for it.

To be honest, Seefacts set that one up perfectly.

These kids are amazing!!!!!! I hope the material stays strong enough to highlight their brilliant talents.
