7)---I love England and do not want to live anywhere else on this planet. The people are lovely. They have a sense of humour and a civility not matched by the Americans. I love the old houses & buildings and how they were built to last. I love the absence of Americans.

Good man. :)

I wouldn't have thought to ask if he hadn't said that, but now I MUST KNOW!

Go on, what's the main differences from living in the UK? Is there still a big mafia presence?

Bloody Norah. Why does everyone think he's from the UK. WrongTale IS Latvian, and AFAIK, has NEVER LIVED IN THE UK.

I broke a lighbulb once with a Smurf, I would have sent it to you if I'd known.

What the flipping Jesus? How did you manage that?!

Don't go red Kim!

:)

My brother just got back from a long trip over that Eastern way. From his photos, it looked bleak and horrible.

Hm. I'm surrounded by American military but you hardly ever see them anywhere. They're probably ashamed of their language/accent. Or they just don't like Germans. I'm fine with that.

I'd like to live in England, too.

She's a mentalist. She was probably trying to make them have sex.

Is there still a big mafia presence?

Not really. Mafia all but died out or went (semi)legal at the end of 1990s... or left the country. These days the only mafia to fight is sitting in the government ;)
We do get visits from East from time to time, but they are few and far between. The violent crimes of 1990s - racketeering, etc. - are pretty much a thing of the past. Naturally, it's not a crime-free country, far from it, but it really isn't that bad anymore.

I've been to UK once only, in 1997. Spent 10 days there and I will definitely visit it again.

I was trying to throw my Smurf from one side of the living room to the other. OBVIOUSLY.

Girls can't throw. TRUFAX!

Get lost Gayam.

I don't know what your problem is today.

Ooh, somebody's touchy today. What's up, somebody spike your gin?

It really depends. I have seen pictures of some bleak and horrible places, and they turned out to be from London.

BTW, the scenes from Only Fools and Horses opening titles look positively Soviet. The high rise buildings and the apartment, oh man, sooooo familiar.

Is there still a big mafia presence?

They all moved to Stamford Bridge.

I don't drink a pint glass of gin for breakfast.
I'm not your mother.
